WHAT TO EXPECT: HAIR REMOVAL

• If this is your first waxing or sugaring appointment you must have 3 weeks of hair growth since the wax and sugar must be able to adhere to the hair.  You will experience a bit of pain since this is your first time getting any hair removed!  If you are worried about the pain there are a plethora of topical numbing creams on the market but you can always take a pain reliever 30-45 min before your service. 

• This service is all about YOU...so, if you're not liking what you're feeling, we will revise the service to meet your needs.  99.9% of the time my new clients say “That was it? You’re already done?!”…so please don’t psych yourself out!  Mind over matter plays a big role in hair removal.  Don't forget that we will be so busy chatting/spilling the tea/getting to know each other, that the service will fly by and you will be ready to book out your next appointments!  The Vanity Room gives a thorough yet fast wax or sugar service, so please know you will never be on the table for more than 40 minutes!

• Every body has three cycles of hair growth.  Each cycle takes a month to grow in. It is highly encouraged that you stay on a four week schedule, as that will not only reduce pain, but more importantly it will allow your hair to sync together and grow at the same rate.  You will see the cleanest wax or sugar service after your third or fourth consecutive visit.

• The DOs & DONT'S:  Please do not shave or trim your hair prior to your appointment. The Vanity Room prides itself on giving the best hair removal services and you will be rescheduled if the hair is not the length it should be. Please exfoliate with an antimicrobial glove/mitt (NO LOUFAS!) the night before your hair removal service, as this will reduce any matted hairs you may have, which will make the service more comfortable for you.   You can expect an incredibly thorough hair removal session that includes tweezing, removal of any ingrown hairs and a sugar "cleanup".  Although The Vanity Room believes in the saying, "no hair left behind", safety always comes first!  No one wants a surprise when they return home and find hair still remaining!  Honesty is the best policy and if any hair is left behind I will always be honest and upfront as to why all hair could not be removed.
